Mahoraga can only really adapt to one phenomenon per turn of the wheel. Right now, he’s focusing completely on adapting against Sukuna’s domain. Adapting against high CE costs is too secondary compared to everything else.

Unfortunately, it’s not likely Mahito. There isn’t really anyway he could have died that would give the MC the reward. Him dying from shrine couldn’t happen if he were inside of the domain, and if he was outside of its protection then the MC wouldn’t get his CE from his death.

I don’t think he’s inside of the domain, so it’s not like he can see Mahoraga.

Uh oh, Yuki is dead as hell! Hope she doesn't infect the MC with her jobber energy. Also, I'm really liking that after all of the pain Maho put him through during their fight, he's been crucified on the big ol cross for his sins. Also, from what I'm getting from that explanation. Mahoraga is now a permanent fixture of his domain? Making it take a lot more CE each time with the caveat that it doesn't cause technique burn out and he doesn't have to manually direct it?

Nice chapter as always! Btw, I've got a question about how his Sacrificial Trade ability works. From my understanding, it essentially allows him to sacrifice everything he's gained from a past opponent in order to create a temporary 1:1 shikigami of them. We see with Jogo that it isn't just locked into only while his domain is up. What I want to know refers back to near the end of the Jogo fight, where he traps the spirit in Dagon's domain. What exactly for the order of events there? Did he summon Dagon who then performed a domain expansion, which was why he was able to exclude the injured MC from the fighting area and subsequent Maximum Meteor. Or did the MC physically cast the domain expansion with his own two hands, and then somehow substitute his body and domain with Dagon's and leave the domain he set up?

Yeah, that’s definitely fully realized Maki. He’s been shown to be able to take away CE from other through the ability before. We’ve also seen from the Mahoraga fight that his “trades” aren’t only available when his sure-hit is active. And we’ve seen sorcerers able to work backwards from their domain to utilize their CT regularly. I’m guessing that he’s able to set up trades regularly as long as there’s physical contact though I don’t know if it still has the “automatic acceptance” portion that his domain relies upon. It might require actual acceptance from both parties when used normally. Also, small nitpick, but Sukuna is actually still able to vary the power he puts into his Dismantles. He been shown to go from just cutting off one single limb off to cutting an entire skyscraper in half using the same flying slashes. It’s just that Cleave adjusts automatically and with better potency.

Their CE reserves were added onto his own of course. That's why it was mentioned during the Dagon fight that he somehow has more that even someone like Nanami. He didn't awaken with those reserves, he got them by killing those hundred weak curses.
