Overall, the story is very good. The deviations from the canon are handled well, and the development of the relationship between Byakuya and Eto is well written. But there are some parts that are handled rather poorly. For example, the passage of time (I understood from an Author’s Note that four years had passed instead of a few months or even a year), or certain events that would have been interesting to see Byakuya get involved in but were completely ignored. For example, the case of Goumasa Tokage. The sadistic CCG investigator who tortured Ghouls during interrogations for his own pleasure, to the point that he turned Yamori into the sadistic psychopath who broke Kaneki, and later had his animal murders pinned on Juuzou. Even though Juuzou clearly didn’t become an investigator because of the change brought about by Byakuya, it would have been interesting to show him dealing with Goumasa to stop him from continuing to torture Ghouls and indirectly saving Yamori from what he was going to do to him.

This really is the end of this story. I'm thinking about writing more stories about other H characters, like the Taimanin saga, but I'm not sure.
