I've caught up with the latest chapter, and in my opinion, what started as a genuinely interesting story began to decline once the Straw Hats appeared. The protagonist is a genius who is already living his second life and is absolutely convinced of his own righteousness and even his godhood, yet he starts reevaluating his beliefs because of a simple-minded Luffy. Honestly, that's completely absurd. At this point, almost nothing of the beloved Light from Death Note remains. The character feels like a completely different person. I hope the Straw Hats will have as little screen time as possible after the war. I'm giving this story 5 stars for the first 70 chapters alone, which I personally enjoyed a lot.
Unfortunately, this no longer feels like Light at all. That's a real shame.
This feels really forced. The character and plot changes are too sudden and don't make much sense. Unfortunately, like in most stories, things start going downhill once the Straw Hats appear.
As for me, it’s a good concept, but it’s one of those stories where the main character is just a decoration who can’t interfere so as not to disrupt the plot development. Personally, I think it’s a terrible choice, since the main character basically has no real purpose.
