Vestara - Echo Hunters
In a world where memories can be bought, sold, and turned into weapons, the past has become humanity's most dangerous currency.
In the megacity of Nova Helios, people burn their own memories to fuel extraordinary abilities — a system known as Echo. The more power you use, the more of yourself you lose. The city runs on it anyway.
Adrian Vale works as an Echo Hunter: entering unstable Echo Zones, clearing the Remnants that haunt them, extracting whatever memory fragments survive inside. It's dangerous work. It pays. He doesn't ask questions about the rest.
But during what should have been a routine job, a Remnant does something impossible.
It stops. Looks directly at him. And speaks.
"I remember you."
Remnants don't speak. They don't think. They don't remember.
This one does.
As fractured visions begin bleeding into Adrian's mind — a laboratory, a capsule, a child — he finds himself asking a question he's never let himself ask before: why does he have no memories of his childhood? Not faded ones. Not partial ones.
None at all.
The deeper his team ventures into the Zones, the stranger his Echo ability becomes — and the more certain he grows that the answer isn't buried in the past.
It's waiting for him in the next Zone.
