the System and it's effectiveness seem stat-based, which is interesting and unique from a sci-fi standpoint. i enjoyed Vale's character, he was consistent throughout and very relatable. the only part i wanted to know more about was the ruined Earth. there is so much potential there, and i would love to see the rest of the novel!

the author's use of dialogue here is really good! i enjoyed getting to know dain and i'm excited to read the rest.
