The author has followed the "show, don't tell" well, and the description of the scenes, the atmosphere, and the emotions received from them are impeccable. In my opinion, you shouldn't judge the story until you've read at least 5 chapters, and what I saw in the first 5 was a rich experience of tenstion, world building, character development and power development.

At first I thought you were exaggerating, but now I agree. Of course, no novel is perfect, and not everyone may like it, but the point is that the quality of the novel is better than at least 90% of the novels i read.
