“You said you wanted to see your family,” he accused in a calm voice, eyes locked on her. “Were my words and actions not enough to make you understand that your place is next to me?” He said slowly, this time lacking the smile on his face that made Luna jump at every one of his next words.
“You—you di—did not keep your end of the deal, and yet you expect me to. That is not fair,” She forced out, the word breaking, while willing her heart to be quiet.
Draven’s eyes narrowed at her words, and he took another step closer. The other man pushed Luna back and stood in front of her in a protective stance, as if he saw the need to shield the girl from the king’s rage.
This made Draven’s cold eyes darken further. His green eyes narrowed at the way the man’s body brushed against Luna’s in their current position.
“Step away from her, werewolf, unless you want your blood staining the scaffold just like the other man.” Draven said, and Luna’s eyes widened hearing this, his smile coming back to grace his lips.
