Uh, yeah it does feel kinda narcissistic to review your own work but it can't be helped, since it'll be my first and probably my last work (nothing can be sure) and not to mention the best, I want to give it my all. I'm not saying it'll be some god-tier masterpiece or anything, I'm writing because I wanna, and I wanna complete it. The day it'll be completed, it'll become a masterpiece itself. Why? We may know. Well... there's several reasons why I wanna write this story even though it might be a bit lengthy because of the lore and want to complete it before I run out of time. The first reason is obvious, I'm writing to preserve so that I can read it and so do some others too, I don't hope that the masses read it but I do hope whoever reads it will understand why I'm writing this. The second reason is one of the inspirations that explains why but I think it can be a spoiler to the story itself so I won't reveal it, not yet at least. Because of that some things and scenes might look unnecessary but even those things have significance in the latter. The story is set in a completely different world, mainly revolving around a side character Yohan. “But wait, who exactly is Yohan?” uhm, that's a question. “Then who's the main character?” That's an even bigger question. “Okay, then who's the antagonist?" Damn, that's the biggest question. “What's the correlation between them all?” You will find out once it gets complete. (⁠◍⁠•⁠ᴗ⁠•⁠◍⁠) “Is this a ragebait?” Nope, I'm an innocent soul. (⁠ ⁠╹⁠▽⁠╹⁠ ⁠) “What's ‘The Lucid’ even about?” Ahh not sure, I'm sure but I think it'll ruin the fun if I tell myself. I really hope you'll love it, trust me, it's not as bad as you might think, it has ample depth, so much that you might have to re-read the whole story at some point. [Ahem. Enough glazing] (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠) “At least there will be romance right? Right?!” The Lucid can't exist without that aspect. 乁⁠|⁠ ⁠･⁠ ⁠〰⁠ ⁠･⁠ ⁠|⁠ㄏ In brief, this series is full of mysteries, revelations and connections you won’t see coming (hopefully). But I wonder if it makes a great story! We'll know. One more thing is to avoid a slow start. I've tried to explain minimal world building but as the story progresses I'll introduce it gradually trying my best to minimal info dumping and I know there's no significant detailing on some characters appearance in the beginning, you'll know why’s that in the later part of story. So I'll introduce things gradually, but if you still feel there's too much info dumping even after reading first dozen chapters I would recommend you to read something written below: “I'm sincerely heavenly divinely transcendently genuinely elegantly earnestly celestially sacredly angelically frantically cryptically desperately apologising for that!” Even though I'll try my best, I'm slightly limited because of the inspirations and reasons behind the writing. (They're really interesting though) Any resemblance to the real world would either be a coincidence or a reference for easier understanding. If a character says something extreme or dumb, you don't agree with. I'll recommend debating with them rather than coming at me with pitchforks because I'm merely a narrator, I don't decide what they think and say. (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)⁠♡ I still have a lot to say and a lot to keep and a lot to think about, but I'm not sure what I should write here.
