The story starts out great and is intriguing while being hilarious. But once you get to roughly the second half of the story it starts feeling a bit more nonsensical and rushed. The story starts with velen saying he's doing this to support Anastasia but as the story goes further her actual role in the story shrinks. The last quarter of the book her presence equates to about two or three chapters altogether. There's also no real exploration or explanations to how the realms actually function
Honestly when I saw this high up on the rankings I thought it would be something I couldn't put down. I was so wrong. While it starts out interesting as the story goes on you quickly realize everything is dragged out. Every little training session or skill or weapons he gets are followed by endless chapters of unnecessary details. Aside from aurora none of the characters have any real personality. On top of that the romance with Zoey is out of nowhere and makes no sense. They literally just fell in love at first sight and than boom they are together but even their interactions are cringeworthy. Finally ... I made it past chapter 300 and literally all the world building has been non existent. The most we got is who the main families are and why they are training to be warriors and we didn't even get that info until basically after chapter 250.
Agreed.. I was all into it but same as you as soon as he got the elf princess mission the story quality dropped. First he spends almost twenty chapters to get back to his original party just to ditch them again. Everytime there's any possible emotional development for the Mc the author just abruptly shifts him back to his annoying emo attitude that's blaming everyone else for his misfortune. And than the constant asking people or the Gods questions for advice but than always justs gets mad about any of the answers he gets.
