If only to pierce beyond the horizon.] "There's something deeply wrong with you." It was a phrase Miles had long grown tired of hearing. But it wasn't wrong. After fleeing a troubled home, there had been some hope for normalcy in his life. If merely a facade of it. Yet life had never been all too kind to him, and he'd learned not to expect much from it. Having his only chance at a normal high school life disrupted was par for the course. What he hadn't expected was for that disruption to be the end of the world. There'd always been something wrong with him; now, that wrongness had spread to the world. At the very least, he finally fit in. ---- Hey there lovely people, second times the charm right? This is an apocalypse novel. It has overall somewhat light system elements. But it isn't really the focus of the story, the characters and world are. I think I've learned alot from my previous book. I'll try my best to put those lessons into use here. So please do give it a try.

Awaiting soft rains(An extra's novel)

There wasn't much good that could be said about Leon or his life in general. He'd been raised by his single mother in the bad parts of town, Neither he nor his sister knew their fathers, He'd dropped out of school early on to make ends meet, something he'd barely done even with him and his mom working their asses off. To top it all off, the useless son of a gun that was apparently his father had genes that were susceptible to cancer. So at the ripe age of 18, he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Such suffering would've almost been comical, if it wasn't his life. Having lost his physical ability, he finds work writing novels online to help with the bills. And then the world took his family from him. Left in a hospital with terminal cancer, american healthcare and his novel as his only companions, Leon decides to end it all. Only to wake up as Victor, an extra in the brutal world of his novel. His troubles were only just starting. Also, this novel is losely inspired by other works both on this platform and outside the platform. Though, I'd like to think it comes together to give an original experience.
