The 1086 chapters were well worth it honestly
Nevermind end of volume 1 was perfect the emotions were captured in such an incredible way really a perfect conclusion for the first volume properly showing the sadness that was covered up and that he hasn’t really forgotten his old life and the pov of Aurelia was done perfectly
For me personally the sword arc was alright, my only problem with it was the way the povs were switching like not really from the characters but the points in time like I’m not saying it’s bad or unreadable but it could’ve been done in a better fashion. And I mean no disrespect to the author whatsoever. But overall the fight scenes were well written and the the emotions were expressed well so not a bad arc
It’s a really good book don’t get me wrong the writing is good and the characters are well written but my goodness the arcs take forever to end like I understand wanton to deepen the lore but somethings don’t feel necessary and end up just being an over completed mess that loses my attention and makes me want to skip to the end and the fight scenes take way too long to end like you can tell he wants the fights to appear fast paced but with the amount of internal monologue and talking it defeats the purpose
So far the best transmigration story I’ve read, you can tell a few cliche tropes but it’s done well with a perfect twist that makes it a completely new idea and the main character as well as well as the side characters who’ve been focused on so far are interesting really I could doubt that this is the authors first novel it’s really that good
The whole Mike situation was completely useless and stupid like honestly speaking what do you mean he says he needs evidence but later says he has cameras installed it’s like he wanted to bring problems into his life. I understand the author wanting to make the novel more interesting but honestly he didn’t have to do that by bringing about unnecessary drama with Mike because he knows Mike is unstable and instead of getting him arrested or at the very least having the police keep an eye on him he says some cringy stuff like I want to punish him and leaves him on the streets overall the story was dead before this but I kept reading now on the other hand it just looks stupid and lacking with the authors ability to write questionable
Honestly I get what you mean in my opinion the first few chapters were really good then after the whole incident in the chapter 50s he becomes way too edgy like what I liked from the beginning was his persona of being logical and calm but now it’s like he’s just psychotic and even if it’s like his character goes against everything we’ve been given till now making the character we liked in the beginning just disappear and what we knew of him irrelevant
