You will have the answer for the 2nd part of this summer break, after the Shatterveil arc ;)
Agree with you. I just didn't want this breakthrough to be too abrupt, hence why i kept the research so long. Hopefully, the Shatterveil arc should pick up the pace (from chapter 139/140)
I haven't settled on it, but my current idea is that Dumbledore line has a strong link to Soul Principle, and that it was Albus first understanding, but that Ariana event affected him completely, making him unable to wield dark magic, instead getting an affinity with all Light principles. Let me know if you have any ideas ;)
Thank you for the feedback! I completely agree that the classroom scenes aren’t the strongest part of my writing. I tend to treat them more like interludes between story arcs, so I usually try to keep them short and focused rather than fully detailed. That said, I do see how Nero picking things up so quickly can feel a bit tedious. My reasoning is that he’s already spent a full month in Japan training intensely under Mu and Zen, so he came into these classes with a solid foundation. Most of the exercises are only 3rd-year level, and given his genius, I find it believable that he would perform well, even if I could probably show it better. Also, the teachers are showing him a bit of extra care, especially in the early lessons, since he’s an exchange student. They want to make sure he’s able to follow along and adapt quickly, not to mention that he's endorsed by Muzen, which earns him some curiosity. (Just a heads-up: in two more chapters, we’ll move away from the class focus and dive back into the "core story". My goal here was to explain concepts that will play an important role in the future.) Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts!
Totally agree, and that is in fact what will happen :) Nero will learn about their decision from ~chapter 120
Hello. At this very early point of the story, he was having trouble casting wandlessly those spells, as he tried to recreate them from scratch. He will be able to do it quite quickly once he can use the wand-cast spells as comparison. The next few chapters should explain more about my AU spell-casting theory between wand spells and wandless spells.
Absolutely! I’ve planned that arc to take place around chapter ~160, during the summer break following Nero’s third year, just before he enters his fourth.
Hello! I actually enjoy writing grey characters a lot. I believe most actions, even terrible ones, come from a place of logic or belief, and I want that complexity to show. Jonathan is definitely someone who’s done terrible things, but he also has his reasons, and I plan to explore that more deeply as the story progresses. Nero, thanks to his past life, understands that things aren’t black and white, even if he doesn’t always express it openly. The story is meant to be a long journey, and future chapters will dive deeper into these moral complexities. Thanks again for reading!
Thank you for your continuous support !
Next ~10 chapters will be about Nero's parents.
