I’d been looking for something different from the typical overpowered isekai hero, and this novel really surprised me. What hooked me the most was the dynamic between Mark and Ely in the early chapters. Having an MC who’s a necromancer basically doing “AFK farming” using an SSS-tier warrior is a fun premise, and the author makes good use of it with sarcastic humor that doesn’t feel forced. Mark has his own voice, and his inner thoughts are genuinely funny. The addition of Yuki and later Aria brings variety to the group, and I liked that each character has a distinct personality instead of feeling like copies of each other. What didn’t fully convince me: the pacing speeds up too much. Arcs go by quickly, and some moments that deserved more development (like Aria’s death) get resolved in just two chapters. Also, if you’re not into R-18 content mixed with action, it can disrupt the narrative flow. Overall, it’s entertaining, and the MC at least has some moral depth. I’ll keep following it.
lex Carter, a scholarship orphan who, during the Summoning Ceremony, the coming-of-age ritual where every young person receives a soul companion... gets the unthinkable: a tiny F-rank skeleton with a $2.99 plastic scythe. While everyone else celebrates golden dragons and crimson phoenixes, Alex is stuck with Grim, a pile of bones that doesn’t even talk or impress anyone. What really hooked me is the opening. The contrast between the academy’s grandeur and how pathetic Alex’s summon turns out is well executed it makes you feel bad for him and find it endearing at the same time. The worldbuilding has that Korean manhwa-style ranking system energy that’s easy to get into, and the main character isn’t the typical overpowered guy pretending to be humble; Alex genuinely starts from the bottom. That said, the early chapters lean a bit too much on genre tropes. The mocking bully, the popular hero with the best companion, the strict teacher predicting expulsion… nothing you haven’t seen in other academy LitRPGs. The writing also gets a bit over-the-top when it tries to be dramatic. But if you give it time, the dynamic between Alex and Grim has real potential. There’s something about that silent skeleton with blinking red eyes that tells you this is going to be much bigger than it seems.
This novel is seriously awesome. Hooked me right from chapter 1. Adam is such a solid protagonist—he gets isekai’d into this fantasy world with an SSS-rank tamer system that’s straight-up broken in the best way. He levels up fast, has this badass little dragon companion, and slowly starts conquering villainesses without it feeling forced or cringy. The action scenes hit hard. The duel against Dorian and that insane ambush on the road to the academy had me glued to the screen. The spicy moments (like Layla’s “gift”) are hot but actually fit the story and characters—they’re not just random fanservice. Love how the side characters are getting developed too: Seraphine with her ridiculous power level, Ravenna who clearly has feelings for him, and the system’s sarcastic comments that always make me laugh. The whole “conquer 20 villainesses” harem thing sounds wild, but so far the author is handling it really well.
It's an excellent novel, quite entertaining, with decent twists and turns. The protagonist evolves in an interesting way, and each chapter leaves me wanting to read more. I hope the author releases more chapters and doesn't let this great work die!!! Keep it up!!!
