The Chinese nationalism is a misguided statement. Here it's not xenophobia and superiority more like kindred spirit meeting a fellow countryman. I would do the same more or less. While I'd love more variety of non-chinese FF a truth must be told. They(The Chinese) write FF till the end and with many unique settings (even if sometimes it ends with many copying it, you end find it boring). Few FF here can boast VS most popular Chinese one(There are some tho). PS: note that MTL doesn't help

It's funny really there was a time when it was also the norm in western society. Today it's viewed as a relic of patriarchy but it's strange that it's common in many part of the world even in some communities where the woman is the one in charge. It is said there is a typical fondness for the first partner for women(I mean more pronouced than men). But I've seen many exemple around me. In the end modern women want the submissive husband with enough money at home but will chose the bad boy who's a good lay for sex anytime as long as they feel they can bear the fall out or maybe even without this. Remind me of a video irl of a poor sod preaching on a podium in public that his wife having another romance was perfectly acceptable while red faced and eyes glistening with a sorrow I've rarely seen. How far some can go to feel "accepted" is baffling.
