The Oathring doesn't physically freeze external people from jumping in like an impenetrable brick wall—it heavily punishes interference via System penalties (severe OXI Bleed, stuns, and massive fines). Dryden saying he will intervene means he's literally willing to tank the System's wrath and risk his own life to pull Rhayne out if things go south.

I wish Trustfall were that kind. Besides, they're at a "stage" where the system isn't exactly generous. I think you'll have to wait for them to move on from Lost Ark ;-;

You're right, but you missed something. There was a fifth entity offering a puzzle, but Dryden brute-forced it—killing the fifth element. But what if Dryden's father solved the riddle? So he would have a secondhand. Right?
