Mav can do it. He'll catch up to everyone else no doubt, maybe a little faster than Mr. Booker expects if he keeps pushing himself to work harder (but don't try to get injured and chewed out by the doctor..)

Woahhhhh I really want to see the different types of magic. How many types of magic can one person learn or master? Does this mean that Mav can possibly learn wind magic or is his affinity with earth a reason why he might: 1. be able to learn wind magic but affinity with earth means that he is not able to fully master it well 2. No affinity with wind means that he can't learn wind magic 3. none of the above

That's one heck of a book shield.
