for your question idk exactly why but I think it's bc first china censorship about gore (the video game Sh*t made things less scary I think?) then their censor board on bl ruan being a npc made their romantic moments pass censorship as it seemed like a person's love towards their laptop or machine while being a actual person or mythological creature would probably lead to many scenes being cut that's why i think?
