Shameless self-review. I started building a world a couple of years ago for fun, I decided to start pulling the timelines I had built together into a narrative. Throwing it into first person to let the reader learn about the world as our naive farm boy Caden discovers it. You nailed it, I haven't played Prey in forever but that was pretty much the image I had in my head. Although that's more the next stage of his evolution, he's more of a mimic at the minute!

Haha I made his true body like smoke and shadows to deter the Venom comparison. However his name also starts with a V, so I guess he's now magic Venom in my headcannon.
