True Darkness came from an unholy titan the gods slayed. It exists outside of both the divine and the profane, much like how creatures of darkness exist outside the classification system from dormant to unholy. Maybe it's to show that he exists outside both concepts as well. But it should have been drop of darkness, since it came from the blood of the unholy titan.
Only Cursed beasts should be capable of that. They are dead.

True. He also definitely has practice wielding it due to the dreams. While it should not be on the level of his shadow manifestation he wielded right after coming back, it should still get him started. This forced struggle seems excessive to me, tbh.
