Still peak.
Damn, this is one of the worst plotlines I have seen in a while.
He doesn't question himself at all tho? He just says "I will kill if they try to harm me, they are enemies." after killing a non-combatant that he could have just walked around.
The more this story goes on the more the system has been falling apart. Lets really consider here, with how many experience points he has gotten, he could have upgraded any of his primary stats up to lvl 10 with extra left over. Bro could have lvl 10 speed, lvl 10 strength, lvl 10 intelligence. ANYTHING other than spending it all on a passive skill that barely does anything for him. And given how big a gap between lvl 1 and lvl 2 was, lvl 10 would have been genuinely max-tier superhuman.
As of review, there is 13 chapters, I have read all. So first off the story so far is very formulaic. "I am a super cool secret agent who died, and It is isekai time where I will be a... *checks notes* six year old child who *checks notes* tries to hide things that don't matter for no reason." As in, It's Fine. Very Standard MC. The only purely Positive compliment I can give this story is its usage of his wings as sensory organs. That is dope and creative and the author deserves credit. Him just being a normal winged human with mahoraga's ability in a world of MUTANT QUIRKS is kinda annoying but not everything is MHA: Ant King and it doesn't have to be. Beyond that, it's the "I am a seven year old acting like a Vigilante because I don't have the concept of leaving adult matters to adults." Like all Shonen Protags do. Still have no clue why he didn't tell the police about the criminal group he found but whatever. TLDR: it's worth a read, but don't expect gold
Genuinely did not expect to love Cyberpunk x DC this much. It's such a good combo and the author does it so well. The Valerie we have feels so good to read. Love the story. The comedy parts aren't too much and fit the story well, honestly did not expect something this enjoyable. I don't even want to spoil the plot as its just kinda... normal. Solo V in Gotham, what more is there to say? Also Batman is written like an actual person rather than a caricature which is better than a few actual DC writers, that's a huge plus for me at least.
Cool chapter. I hope he focuses more on the Defiant stuff in the future. His normal personality seems kinda second-fiddle to his superhero identity.
True, I am not being nice about it, I apologize for that... However, even from your reply, you seem to understand that these are issues that have to be addressed sooner rather than later... Honestly, I would say re-edit earlier chapters rather than change it in the future, because the intro is the most important part of any story. Also, the thing about it only being Donna is fine, but you def need to correct the chapter where he tells her because that is NOT how it reads. In the training room, it sounds like she had long-since known, nor does it sound like something ONLY she knows. Most importantly, Deathstroke found out information a total of, what, 4-5 people on the planet could possibly know? You kinda have to add HOW he figured it out. It's fine if he did, but that is very important to making it beleivable.
Just to clarify, by everybody knows his identity, I mean E V E R Y B O D Y. First major villain that shows up casually knows. I would have given deathstroke a pass and just assume he figured that out himself, but given everyone else knows too, I think it's just common knowledge. I read a bit more after the review and he gets the ability to create Holy Fire, which is cool... I guess. Idk, it feels like way too little way too late. Especially for someone with the highest-profile parent possible in the entire multiverse.
