Honestly? I loved how the politics and the "darkness" of the shinobi world were described. That morally grey area is just top-tier. The character development is insanely intriguing — you see the characters actually changing and adapting. What surprised me most was the pacing. It's not drawn out at all; the narration keeps this super interesting tempo. There's literally no fluff. You never get the chance to get bored because it's gripping from start to finish.
