My apologies for confusing you. Please allow me to explain the scene exactly. To an anime-only watcher, the glitchy woman turns into a random pink-haired girl to talk to Shidou in Season III. Even after watching until the end of Season V, this pink-haired girl never shows up again in the anime. Of course, this pink-haired girl is Sonogami Rinne, a focal character in two of the visual novels. Her appearance in the anime is essentially a cameo appearance that explains nothing about her backstory. So what I meant when I said he can recognize her appearance is that the anime-only Kyo can recognize Rinne as "the random pink-haired girl that Mio disguised herself as in Season III" and not "Rinne Sonogami, the main character of the visual novel." While my dear reader Whatsmidoingagain has already explained the circumstances quite well, please allow me to add a little more information: Firstly, Kyo has only watched the anime of Date a Live. "Rinne" is a name that is only used in the first Date a Live visual novel "Rinne Utopia" as well as the subsequent visual novels "Rio Reincarnation" and "Ren Dystopia." However, her likeness is indeed used by Phantom in Season 3 Episode 9 of the anime. Thus, while Kyo would not be able to recognize the name "Rinne," he would definitely be able to recognize her face.
