This is one of the best written reverse harem wuxia novel. What I love the most is that yhe characters appear what they are- eg, if someone is called smart and strong, it won't be just empty words, they will prove it from time to time. And there is context and reason behind every event so things are not happening out of thin air, neither does anyone get extremely lucky to find good connections while doing random things. However this translated version is missing some content from the original novel.

This is the point where you know Yan Xun doesn't love Chu Qiao as much as Zhuge Yue does. For Zhuge Yue, finding her was the only reason for travelling all the way there, even when she is technically his enemy while Yan Xun considered it a side task despite her being his lover.

Well, this is where writers need to research. In patriarchal societies, even in ancient China, a man's womanising tendencies were of little matter if he was someone of a high position like this. So realistically, a lot of nobles would still be ready to marry their daughters to him just to consolidate their power.

Good story. I am glad the ml is not a full-fledged criminal. Looking forward to read more.

The story has a good plot and pace. The themes are dark so I was prepared but I didn't expect pretty much everyone except ml trying to f* up mc's life for no reason.
