Hello, author here. This is a little shameless of me, but I have to give myself a 5/5. Now you may be asking why. Well, let me explain. I admit it, the beginning is kind of rough, considering it was my first time writing something like this. But if you power through the first three or four chapters, everything becomes more natural, especially the dialogue and descriptions. Right now I am more focused on writing dialogue rather than setting, but that will likely change as I keep improving. So what is The Anew about? It is about a boy reborn into a fantasy world, born into the royal family. Great luck, right? Not really, since early on it is revealed that the family is a little unhinged and drunk on power. However, our protagonist Roland, later renamed Kleos for certain reasons that are explained in the story, is actually very talented and has inherited a lot of Phoenix blood from his mother, Charlotte Ketsra. His father, Arthur Ketsra, may or may not be a reference to Artoria Pendragon, but we will ignore that. A lot of the names in the story are inspired by mythology and similar sources. Will that have meaning later on? Honestly, I doubt it. Now you may be wondering if there will be romance or what Kleos’s plan is. I cannot tell you Kleos’s plan just yet since that would be a spoiler, so you will have to read and find out. As for romance, it will likely exist, but more as a subplot. At least that is my vision for now. But I still have not explained why The Anew deserves five stars. Cuz... read it for yourself. Why should I tell you?
I meant sane, so calm, rational, and mentally sound.
I definitely will!
