Kinda... It makes sense that they would seek a match outside, the only dragon rider they have is a loose Canon so they need allies
On that front, Aenys last heard that his grandfather and uncle were entertaining a match in either the Westerlands or the Reach for Valarr. Who it could be, Aenys hadn't the faintest idea. This was to gather more support for the young prince.

Maekar changed his mind thinking about this and chose to hold a duel for any greedy man who dared accept the King's proposal. He would kill them one by one, but not in secret—rather, before the people and the entire realm.
