This hit me hard.... but in a good way!
Everything was just so heavy, and the mere act of speaking, of blinking (despite her need not to), or even simply emoting felt sluggish and resistant to her directions. It was like her very body was rebelling against her and fighting against her will. That which she used to control, used to know and understand and manipulate intuitively, now resisted her every action like a sentient prison and every second she came closer to screaming.

this is my favorite!
She could feel deep down that she was changing and, although she was almost certain that purifying her bloodline had an effect on it, she was undeniably still herself. Dahlia was still the same young woman with the same anxieties, fears, joys, and proclivities. Rather, if anything, she felt like she was gradually becoming even more of herself than ever before. She was changing, yes, but those changes seemed to emphasise and draw out aspects that had always been a part of her.

What once was dampened and subdued due to being trapped by her parents was now having the chance to grow and develop, and what might have once been unobtainable was now so easily within reach as she gained both power and freedom. It felt as though she was finally starting to shed a shell she never even realised she had possessed and, with each moment of self discovery along with each surge of purified bloodline, she could feel that shell breaking and slipping away more and more, gradually revealing something not even she could be entirely certain of.

Oh my…. This is going to be interesting!
She thought looking away might help calm her down. She thought averting her eyes would fix whatever was wrong —perhaps merely a hallucination leftover from nightmares she had forgotten— but unfortunately, shifting her attention didn't help. Instead it revealed just how overwhelming the world truly was and how lucky she was to have been greeted with the sky when she first woke up.

I will take it!...
The older woman sighed, but nodded. "I'm saying that there's a chance. I don't fully know how that thing worked back when it was a fully functional artefact but, now that the rest of it melted away, it's just continuing to act as a false phylactery. Haugen's soul is still trapped in there, or at least a large portion of it is, so her fate is currently stuck at an impasse. It can't pass on, but it also has no means to return to her body, nor a body to return to, so… yeah. It's salvageable but she's stuck."
