Secondly, the protagonist created the character himself so obviously his surprise would weaken. I'm sure my readers are smart enough to understand that. But thanks for pointing that out, you obviously knew it, but you wanted me to be more clear. Thirdly, I wish you good luck for getting a contract asap. And do not be disillusioned by your poor 7.4k views right now. I know it is a bit low for people treating novel writing so competitively like you, but hey, maybe it will grow in future.
