I thought the author would make the protagonist look for some ways to avoid certain 'problems' and take some precautions before going out swinging around New York. After all, the protagonist knows very well how crazy this world is, he also knows the bad consequences that occur if they discover the true identity of a superhero or even anti-hero and villains. I don't think it's very difficult to discover Spider-Man's identity, after all, he returns to the same house every day(although he probably doesn't return directly home dressed in the costume), he leaves his clothes hidden in an alley stuck to the wall by webs often and he is very visible as he swings around the city all the time. Not to mention that his villains usually discover his identity and run straight to his school. Just look for two specific places, the first is the place where he usually appears for the first time in the day and the second is the place where he usually disappears at night. After that, all someone need to do is set up hidden surveillance. Should be able to see him leaving an alley without his suit or even find his house directly. Remember that it is not difficult for people like Nick Fury, Tony Stark, Reed Richards and others to find his true identity using different means at hand. Nick Fury already has a constant SHIELD surveillance system focused on 'supernatural factors', he will only collect blood, fingerprints and everything he can from the places where Spider fought and count on the assistance of the agents to discover his identity in a short period of time. Tony Stark will directly let Jarvis analyze the sound of the voice in the videos in which he appeared in conjunction with a satellite to keep constant surveillance on him to find out everything he wants to know in a matter of minutes or hours. Reed Richards will create some gadget in the form of glasses that allows him to see through his mask.
Gwen, with the intelligence she possesses, after thinking a little after discovering that she had awakened super powers after being bitten by a spider, should have already found it strange that Peter had said those two sentences; • "And if anything unusual happens, call me." • "You'll find out soon." The first sentence can be dismissed as concern, but the second is impossible to disguise, it is quite obvious to anyone with common sense that by saying the second sentence, he already implies that he knew what was going to happen to her. In fact, even if they were in a relationship, which they are not, at least not officially, it would be difficult to believe that Gwen would be as scared as the author described, that she would be shocked by the perceptive sensations after awakening or that she would simply call Peter and openly say that she had awakened super powers. I don't remember Spider-Man's superpowers being difficult to control, although when he wakes up he ends up breaking some things, but he usually manages to regain control very easily in a very short time, in addition to having an extraordinary perception that is basically instinctive and doesn't cause any problems in adapting to it. You could say that it only takes three steps, which are: taking a deep breath, emptying your mind and regaining control. I don't know if it's worth letting Gwen talk openly about her powers, because it's pretty obvious that she's going to become the Ghost Spider and go around doing justice. The protagonist is obviously not the model of a fair superhero, he'll definitely try to influence her or end up being influenced by her. In fact, we all know that SHIELD, Tony Stark, Reed Richards and a few others always know the true identity of those with spider totem powers because none of them are very professional in keeping their identities secret. It's pretty easy(i think); Just analyze the place where she frequently appears when she's first seen in the day, analyze the place where she frequently disappears at the end of the day, based on this focus and keeping surveillance through hidden cameras should be enough to find her locker. Not to mention the blood she leaves behind after a fierce fight, fingerprints in some cases, her voice that doesn't change and so on. If they find out her identity, they'll definitely find out about him sooner or later, especially if they try to get to her by targeting him. Of course, at the end of the day, it's the author's decision, no matter how outrageous it is, so the author could very well swap Gwen Stacy's personality with Mary Jane and leave it at that. Life goes on and let's keep reading.
I believe that with his intelligence, it should be very simple to create a vigilante costume using some easily accessible materials that are difficult to trace. At least I think it would be much better than buying a mask and a coat in a random store as it would be easy to track. If the protagonist are afraid of meeting Daredevil due to his ability to remember others through their heartbeat, just don't enter Hell's Kitchen until he find a way to avoid it.
I'm very curious to know what kind of limitations we're talking about? I highly doubt it's just physical fitness, after all, if it were, it would be simple to go to an animal or someone who possessed tremendous physical strength and copy them. I don't think it's the body's ability to adapt/resist to extreme environments, because if it were, it would be enough to go after Darwin, copy the tardigrade or find an animal with high adaptability. Probably the 'biological limits' must be and/or have a high relation to the 'standard of living'.
Are there any restrictions on this analysis and fusion? Such as; It is only possible to analyze everything that is within the scope of the protagonist's field of vision and only that which he can actually 'see'. Therefore, trying to evaluate and merge with a 'tardigrade' would not work because he cannot actually see with his own eyes, even if he knows that 'tardigrades' are around him and within his field of vision.
I really can't believe how foolish it is to have kept such confidential information in a simple notebook. It's very easy for a student, teacher, principal or an elf to be able to 'see' the information without him knowing.
I hate the use of AI's all the time, because they always repeat the same sentence, which is annoying. Look at the final sentence of the previous chapter and compare it with the final sentence of this chapter. [12]; "For the first time in years, he felt truly alone." [13]; "For the first time in years, he wasn't alone." Now tell me, not even a day has passed since Emma came to him after what happened, so where does the 'years' he talks about come from? After all, living with Alex and having friends didn't make him feel alone. I just hope the author prevents such mistakes by relying too much on AI's.
Cliché and a bit disgusting situation, i expected more, unfortunately. He spent years at school, but it never crossed his mind for a moment to deal with the bully in secret, even if it was just a beating that would end up in the hospital for a few months. It's not like he couldn't even verbally provoke the bullies after school to make them attack first and beat them up. After all, he never fought back even once, it's normal for them to bother him all the time. He should have had some time to himself before going back to school, at least he could avoid the explosion of his power. Besides, if neither of his two friends told him, who would know that Alex died? Unless some of Alex's students were also at school. The fact that he made friends with the girlfriend of the bully who has been bothering him for years is really strange and reminds me of Peter and Mary Jane who dated Flash. Of course he would be in trouble anyway in this situation, even if he fought back, because the school principal is the father of his 'friend' who is also the girlfriend of the bully who bothers him. Although i find it ironic that he made friends with a girl who was willing to have a relationship with a bully who is always making life hell for one of her friends. This situation reminds me a lot of Mary Jane who was in a way Peter's 'friend' and at the same time was dating Flash who was Peter's bully. I didn't see the need to pull him out of the pit he was getting used to, to guarantee him hope of a life in the light and then kick him back down the pit again because of a 'mistake' that 'he' made. Another thing i found strange is that he started to be wanted and had his image exposed in the newspapers and the media with unprecedented speed. I don't remember many mutants having this 'privilege' and i didn't see anything very visible in the situation that occurred that would give certainty to others who were watching that he was a mutant. From what the author described, the special effects that occurred when he used the power were only visible to himself and the only strange thing about the situation is that Cris fell to the ground, screamed, convulsed and whimpered in pain after the protagonist touched his wrist. Of course, that in itself is already very strange. Anyway, i just thought that his extreme reaction was unnecessary in such a public environment and with the willpower that he currently has. Although it could be because he didn't have time to mourn and already ran to school. After all, he has been through a lot, he has killed other people, he has killed his own mother, he has carried/carries with him the sins of countless people, he feels the sins of others all the time and he managed to get back on his feet through constant discipline, strong determination and with the help of Alex when he let him live with him. In my opinion, very forced.
I can't see the point in all this. From what I understand, the guy's goal is to prevent some bad events in his country and 'influence' the world around him for the sake of the rise and interests of his country and his own as well. However, what's the point of all this if we know that he(or the author) can simply lose his temper at some point and create the abilities; 'omni historical change' 'world domination' 'India above all things' 'everything revolves around my existence' 'dimensional annihilation' 'anti-reality' 'I have become God' 'I can do whatever i want' 'I am the only honored one in heaven', 'nullification of all things' 'your power is mine' and so on.
I don't know, but in my opinion, for a system of such magnitude, such an irritating restriction of being able to choose only one option is something very senseless. After all, in Marvel itself, there are several individuals who can copy the powers of others that are of a biological nature. Even if there are two, three or more powers in a single individual, they can still copy everything. Of course, according to your description, everything he copies will receive a bonus of a threefold increase in power. In addition to being able to copy experiences, he can also copy regardless of the race of the living being. The being just needs to have its own consciousness, and that is essentially quite unique. So, at this moment, the ones that received a threefold increase were animal instinct, genius-level intelligence and telepathy(next chapter). I'm not criticizing, but I would like to say that even many veteran authors find it difficult to make a character have the 'genius intelligence' that the original characters demonstrate in the original works, so you have to be careful in this aspect. I remember you wrote about the sensations the protagonist had after copying the 'animal instinct', although it was a simple description, but you didn't write anything about the 'genius-level intelligence' and you also didn't show us the possible options to choose from when the protagonist got Charles' DNA. I won't say much about his decision to befriend Charles Xavier or to directly demonstrate the ability to copy other abilities through DNA, although in my opinion it is unnecessary, after all, the future bald wheelchair user is very suspicious of everything/everyone, even though he is still very young, he would certainly start to have a deep fear well hidden in his heart as time goes by when he sees/remembers the protagonist easily copying what makes him special and I don't think this situation is good for becoming friends with him. If there is a reason to start such a friendship, it should be for the DNA of the future students of his academy, but I think it would be possible to get a hair from everyone with relative ease if he copied the abilities of some mutants with stealth or versatile abilities with relative usefulness. Simple examples would be, controlling some insects to get their hair through an 'ability' that 'allows you to control insects', maybe he could copy a characteristic of some 'king of insects' that allows you to control insects or something related. People always drop hair in their daily lives, so all you had to do was follow them for a while when they went out and you would end up getting a hair from them. It's quite complicated to make a romance with a protagonist with biology/genes/DNA copying abilities, because it's very easy to get stronger and gain abilities simply by copying the innate abilities of animals. One detail, even if he can only choose one of three abilities from a mouse, he can always get the second and third mouse to copy what's left. It's a shame that it's probably not possible to get a new ability from the same person after getting a new hair.
