Honestly this has been a super pleasant read. The pacing has been excellent and I've found there's a healthy balance between the action, the dialogue and the idle moments of interest. The highlight for me is definitely the Core feature of his system. Im not usually huge into system novels but that kind of open ended potential has definitely hooked me and I'm excited to see where that goes! Overall, this has been an excellent start and read to the series and I'd urge whoever find themselves reading this to stick it through as well! Also: F**king System.

"As for why the sword core doesn't cost more is because it hardly gives any good abilities, very few people get a combat ability out of it, most get some sort of blacksmithing ability, and the very unlucky get an ability related to the maintenance of the sword, it's considered a gamble at best and very few people are willing to take that chance with one of their core slots," the director said while sighing. Asher felt like the wind had gotten knocked out of his body, at first the sword core was the best option but if he got stuck with a lousy ability from a core that cost his entire fortune then he was fucked. - Siamese1mthCommented

With a sigh Asher quietly said "inventory," and thought of the core once it was open, then with a glance of his eyes the screen was gone, and the core was firmly grasped in his hands. "That doesn't matter right now though, what we are going to do first is help you sell that Bear Core and then with a little luck let you find some cores for now just follow me," Nick said to Asher as they walked past a couple of small groups. The groups they passed all varied in size and make up, some being covered in blood, dirt and other substances clearly just now returning home from battle. Others looked like they had just gotten a manicure and were ready to go kiss a politician's ass rather than fight. - Siamese1mthCommented

"The bear core isn't banned but isn't used very often, when you absorb a core you will slowly gain attributes similar to your core the more cores of the same type you absorb. The girl who welcomed you earlier has an elf based core and as such has gained the ears of an elf." Nick explained quickly slowly standing up, Asher seemed to have understood everything and this seemed to be the end of the conversation. - Siamese1mthCommentedThe beast instantly convoluted, its hind legs shooting out, sending both the rabbit and Asher out forward, like a rocket they passed tree after tree. Finally, Asher's luck ran out and the beast landed face-first into a thick oak tree. Asher was thrown off, his knife still firmly planted in the base of the rabbit's skull. Asher landed on the somewhat soft floor of the forest before skidding along the ground like a motorcyclist right after a crash, his shirt doing little as it tore apart from the impact. After a few seconds of sliding Asher came to a stop, his head was pounding but it didn't feel like he had any broken bones, in fact, he felt way better than he should considering he was essentially in a high-speed car crash. But after looking himself over thoroughly he concluded that all he had was some minor cuts and bruises, nothing that wouldn't work itself out after a few days. After taking a few seconds to walk back over to the rabbit, Asher found his knife and yanked it out of the beast's skull, as he did, he heard the noise he was waiting for.

The right amount
"Fucking system," Asher said shaking his head, with clear displeasure all over his face he began running following the destruction like a hound until he caught a glimpse of something white standing on top of a wooded hill. On top of the wooded hill was a massive rabbit, it was about two sizes bigger than the rabbit he had seen the day before, Asher could only assume that this thing grew as its appetite did, all Asher could do was stare in shock, unable to believe how much the thing had grown overnight. - Siamese1mthCommented
I like the subtlty of him actually being intelligent. Its not in your phase and there's no crazy emphasis on it, which honestly I prefer. For such a simple character so far he grows on you pretty fast
It took over two hours of continuous cutting before all the meat had been safely put away in his inventory, the only thing left was the unusable parts. Asher threw them bit by bit into the fire until everything had been destroyed. He didn't want to leave a body in a place that could potentially be his home for the night if he failed to kill that monstrous rabbit, who knew what animals or monsters would be attracted by it. With a grunt Asher pushed himself into a standing position and left the cave, leaving behind the still lingering fire. It was about noon when Asher walked out of the cave, he could only assume that the giant rabbit would be in the same place he had left it. - Siamese1mthCommented

I should like to point out that this review is heavily opinionated and based on my own preferences when reading a story. Firstly, I have to acknowledge the sheer passion in this work. It's clearly evident in every chapter and you can see how immersed the author is when writing. I also think that this novel is perfect for readers that enjoy high levels of energy in their novels. If you are one of those people I think you'll love this. Now, personally I'm not huge on first person perspectives but when they're paced well I can definitely find them enjoyable. I did however find that this novel had to much energy for me. The tempo was so fast for how much was written that some of the more interesting or significant moments lost their impact. I think, if I had to give any sort of advice, it'd be to perhaps slow it down a little bit so that it's easier for the reader to keep up with all of what the mc is thinking and feeling. If you do happen to be reading this review however, I would greatly suggest trying out the first few chapters to see if it is to your taste. Your opinion may greatly differ from my own. But, in witnessiing the passion of this author, as someone writing myself, I do find them greatly inspirational. I hope for your own love and passion for the novel you'll see it through to the end.
