Aw well thank you for sticking out this far! I aim to be a better author here, I hope I'll see you in one of my next books!
Hello! The MC has a no-kill rule because, as the name suggests, he's a thief and killing is a line he refuses to cross. However, like every aspect of the story, his personality and rules will evolve.
Hey, at least I didn't lose a reader! The previous review can stay since it's a personal opinion on the book, not an attack or anything else. (Though that 2 star will haunt me the rest of my life😭) Thanks for the review!
Hello! By many atrocities, you mean just thieving? Like I made it very clear in the story: Axel is a flawed character and has flawed rules. By your thinking, is Negan from Walking Dead a badly written character too? He kills, kidnap, torture people, but wouldn't let one of his men rape a woman. I mean he has done many atrocities/worst things, why not just do that too right? In my opinion, what makes a story bearable-readable is the characters and their thinking or reaction to certain things in a different manner. If everyone reacted to things perfectly or acted perfectly, just like what the readers think, there wouldn't be any conflicts or any room for personal growth to said-characters. Again, thank you for your criticism, there are some parts I don't agree with you, but I'm sure taking everything you say into consideration!
Thanks for reading my book! I wanted to develop Axel's character slowly, so having him defeat the two strongest students wouldn’t fit. He impulsively challenged them after hearing about the reward, without a plan, and ended up being easily defeated. Plus, since he’s only known two people his whole life, he’s a bit of a wild card and unsure how to handle the gossip about him. I want to emphasize that I’m not trying to deflect criticism. I take every review/chapter comments to heart! Again, thanks for the comment c:
