So, it`s cover on Shallow??? Or another song???
I don't know, I only read 30 chapters and couldn't put it down. The characters are frankly cardboard, the world is not very well drawn, the actions of the characters are frankly strange. This is the world of the Middle Ages, where kindness has clear boundaries and insulting someone important is easier than chopping down a tree. Kudos to the author for trying, but as far as I'm concerned it's a rather unsuccessful work.... The main character is a grown man, but his desires and actions are not just childish but idiotic, it is not clear what he is striving for (personally, not globally), his development as a human being is not visible.
Yeah, remember that in the canon only noblemen were trained by maesters, and if necessary, only by relatives, or pay money in the citadel.
Have you ever tried to pick up a blacksmith's hammer? Until 13-14 years old, he'll just be a journeyman at most (janitor, serve/fetch), and nothing but some basics like polishing armor/sharpening blades/selecting ore for forging will be taught to him.
Yeah, and the fact that a child can't lift a sword doesn't interest anyone? Even a wooden sword is heavy enough, and the adult's blows and points only make things worse, because purely due to the weight of the body/sword, every weak blow of an adult for a child is simply unbeatable.
You know, it's always amazed me why Ned would even look up to this guy? During combat almost all the time someone is saving someone, let alone giving so much to a commoner.... + experience multiplier works a bit wrong, even if he is 5 times faster to improve knowledge and fitness from the ceiling is not taken from the ceiling, and without a firm understanding of his actions he can just learn the wrong stances/strikes and then get in trouble. Don't forget that they are all children, and even a simple jog for 40 minutes is a huge strain on the body.
Come on, it's not easy to fool a professional, not to mention that if you don't give your best at every training session, you won't achieve anything. Not to mention the fact that Caitlin can't physically watch him all the time, because she has her own responsibilities....
You took away his memory anyway, and like the timeline itself is tied to 280, when the rebellion won, but the birth year of the characters is changed. By shifting it to 5 years before the rebellion you logically introduce too many problems, starting with the fact that at the time of the story the characters will be adults, which will lead to marriage and birth of children (don't forget it's a medieval world). It's like too much trouble for such a whim, we'll have to recalculate the ages of all the characters and locations....
I have a question, what's up with this chronology? I don't want to be weird, but at the time of canon in the books, rob stark was 13 years old I think, and 16 in the series. The beginning of canon is 295+ years, then the question is how come it's now 280 year and the kids are 5-6 years old? Is that an afterthought or something? It's just that the war against the Targaryens ended in 279-280 and robb and john were just born....
Actually, neutron stars are closer to white in color because of their huge rotational speed.
