Bro I sense a lot of inbreeding in the air.
like old duels before battles. the reality is as long as the army wasn't leaderless and lost its moral it can still battle and win. unless the general losing was a great one
little question what would be the approach of the ottomans (the protagonist opinion) regarding their neighbors ? Because from what I know the protagonist can easily gain important and useful allies in the Islamic world. Per exemple Morocco under the Alawites dynasty rule, just excited a succession crisis of 30 years thus weakening the Cherrifian/Moroccan empire and defacto the defenses of eastern vassals of the empire. Also the fact being that soon Morocco will enter a new period of stability that will be brutally ended by the early 19th century Ibero-Moorish plague that will decimate up to 20~30% of the population, making it more difficult for the ottomans Amazigh privateers to operate from big ports like Tangier and Rabat/Ribat Al-Fath but nonetheless Morocco will stay relatively powerful until the 1860s it the Makhzen (Imperial administration) will try to modernize under Sultan Abderahman in (1820s-1850s) wich will be failed due to the same problems that Egypt of Muhammad Ali will face. Since the 1860s the cherrifian Empire will start losing ground to western powers until the fall of Djenne and Gao 1893 and Timbuktu 1895 then the fall of Fez 1906 but Morocco will mostly remain friendly and supportive of the Ottomans until their demise "vice versa" (per exemple in the Jazeera Al Khadra treaty) since their defensive pact of the 1570s (unuseful since the death of the Saadian dynasty Sultan Ahmad Al-Mansur Al-Dahbi in 1603)
honestly I advise anyone liking this novel to drop as much Voting Stones as possible. it's the last novel I want to see dropped.
I give this novel 5 stars because it's one of the best I readed. In total honesty I can say that I think this novel deserves more promotion and advertising due to its quality and low amounts of mistakes although I feel that the Shehzade is kinda slow at implementing his own alliances and power base , but the reality is that he's still 8 years old and I should accept this reality. Anyways, this novel gave me further motivation to work on my own novel (of the same genre) and try furnish as much quality as I consumed here (english is not my native language). I hope the author will not drop this novecontinue his excellent work and deliver us constantly his high quality chapters, so that one day when we reach this novel's conclusion, we may look back reminiscent of how epic the journey we readed was). Also I find it kinda original because of the fact that ottoman based and especially Islamic based Alternative history is overlooked, underrate and rare.
inshaallah you may get well soon. Amin
you may also make the Ottoman recruit some Amazigh cavalrymen like the Fantasia Cavalry, and use them as reconnaissance units or elite units that are effective even in mountain warfare . a unit wich can be pretty interesting and organized when well leaded. Per exemple Fantasia Cavalry have proved its efficiency in the battle of the three kings in 1578 or way later in the Rif war 1921-1927 have defeated several times the Spaniards and even won some crucial battles like the battles of Igueriben, Annoual, Chefchaoun etc.... with even them taking down 8 tanks from the Spaniard camps and 15 tanks from the french one.......
Thank you, it means a lot for me and I appreciate the gesture
inshallah you can recover from your illness
