But the character he possessed is called Elder Ren, or Ren, as first mentioned in the third chapter with Disciples calling him Elder Ren, since the people of this world don't know he is not that person anymore. Elder Ren, and Eren are the same person, so their names will sometimes be changed, depending on whose perspective he is being mentioned. Eren is his real name, which he had on earth. Ren or Elder Ren is what the people of this world know him as, because it's the character's name. So when it's from the Character's perspective, it is mentioned as Ren.

I think I forgot to clarify that part. He is talking about raw strength here. With increasing cultivation, body characteristics change. The body at the core becomes stronger. If cultivation is sealed, the increased raw strength, muscles, strengthened bones and other stats still remain.
