False cognates are words in two different languages that look or sound similar but have completely different meanings. They can easily trick language learners into mistranslations. I'm assuming you mistranslated the word "parentes" (relatives) into "parents"
To be honest, this is already better written than the last few seasons of Stranger Things. That might not be the highest bar to clear, but it definitely scratched the itch I had for a well-written story in this universe. The Gamer abilities are handled really well, and I’ve enjoyed watching the MC progress through his stats and skills. If I had one complaint, it’s that there is a heavy focus on base building lately. It makes sense logically why someone would prioritize that, but I personally wish there was a bit less focus on the construction side and more on developing offensive skills. That said, the character interactions and slice-of-life moments are great. The dialogue feels natural, which makes it easy to believe these characters are real people. Also, the chapters are massive, if this were structured like your average fanfic, it would probably have triple the chapter count. Even with the length, the writing doesn't feel bloated; the flow is solid and the chapter breaks actually make sense. If you’re a fan of Stranger Things or want a system-based story with actual depth, I highly recommend it.
would be so funny if they came back later having a counter for the blue eyes white dragon, only for the MC to not roll it again lmao

those poor soldiers having to watch someone go through so many emotions over the course of a flight. You gotta wonder if the GDA pays them enough
I usually avoid "Chaos Gacha". Most of the time, the protagonist just gets overpowered and boring within the first ten chapters. But this one actually caught me off guard. The MC is genuinely hilarious, and the writing quality is high enough, clearly not AI. I’ve found myself laughing pretty hard at multiple points so far. It’s possible it might become less interesting down the road, but for right now, I’d highly recommend it. It’s worth a read if only to watch a gambler naming himself John Kaisen get trolled.
