Altough i still think that i didn't implement it too well, the whole point of this story, at least at first, is to be a weak to strong story, because at the end of the day, the One Piece world is full of strong af bastards, and if there's one thing that it taught us fans, is that unless you are born strong, you gotta face some hard struggles or a massive L at least once in your life if you want to become an asskicker yourself. I can also pretty confidently say that when the journey will actually start, Luffy and Makino will most definitely either stay on the sidelines to allow the rest of the crew to grow stronger, or turn their fights into one-sided beatdows the moment they start to get serious. That does add the issue of when unlocking Gear 5 would make sense, but i've already come up with a few solutions. Mini spoiler, it will definitely happen before the end of pre-timeskip.
i do plan to add some 'odd' team choices that i think are a bit underrated, but even then, i don't really see the appeal of having a Lokix or a Mightyena, i mean, the former can find its use with First Impression, but that's about it as far as i'm aware, but who knows, maybe i'll end up inserting my own additions to existing pokemons in order to make them more relevant
true that, plus it does add some liveliness to the place, since it's still a small town surrounded by huge grass fields delimited by huge hills with whole woods and forests on them.
i ain't letting it go anytime soon, and in fact, Chapter 6 is in the making, and it will introduce an idea that i think will be interesting
I also read One Piece: The Unreal Adventure, and in fact, it was my inspiration to start my own fic. To answer your question, yes, he will do something similar, but he'll fully hide his looks, and use a serious persona. {spoiler ahead} I was thinking of a mysterious, ominous and enigmatic oriental-style swordsman by the name of Musashi, a silent swordsman who's identity is always concealed by a green cloak that covers his body down to the ankles (inspired from Dragon's style), and an ornamental "porcelain" mask that portrays a kitsune (which will be either laced or made with seastone), only leaving the warrior's red gleaming pupils visible, which stare on their victims' souls. Lastly, to complete his persona, he'll also wear slightly baggy black pants that will end with those bandage like parts that some ninja clothings have, and a pair of traditional japanese sandals (can't wait to see people mistake him for a samurai from Wano, or inspire a certain Marimo). Basically he'll have a cold and no-nonsense personality when using the identity of Musashi
yeah, he'll be staying by Dadan, and he'll be sure to knock tons of sense into Ace by making him go through one hell of a grind😈. Sabo on the other hand, it'll happen, but his rescue from the nobles and Celestial Dragons' wrath might also be the debut day of a vigilante, one that will become the nemesis of pirates and nobles alike, and terrify even the criminals in Paradise with the mere mention of his name......
i know, which is why i use Kyle exclusively when narrating in third person, mainly for my own preference, outside of third POV, he's still Ash to everyone else.
she didn't. That's pokemon speech, it's just translated to what they actually said, since Kyle learned to understand Nyx, to anyone else it's just a Shinx's normal cry. Anyone else other than Kyle (at least currently), would hear a "Shi Shinx shi" or stuff like that
actually the reason was already explained back in chapter 2, amongst the books that he was given in order to get a good grasp on all the knowledge he'll need when he'll go on his own, there was also a Devil Fruit Encyclopedia, meaning that he does have a good excuse for when someone questions him about how he knows what a df is. Also Shanks won't lose his arm, because i most definitely won't make Himuga stronger, plus Luffy already defeated a psycho with a 12 million bounty, and he now has 3 years of training ahead of him, meaning Higuma will take a massive L.
it's done on purpose, other than character dialogues, i'll always refer to him as Kyle instead of Ash, mostly out of personal preference, since it feels weird for me to refer to him as Ash despite being a different person at the end of the day.
