I don't get it. Isn't this obvious to anyone with a brain? I guess the author is making everyone around the MC an idiot so the MC can show off his intelligence.

Please don't make it so that when the thunder flame sect is attacked the mc gains the best treasures from the sect by some weird coincidence.

I take back my 5 stars. The bet between Messi, Ronaldo and the MC was so unrealistic and out of place, and the author kept bringing it up and making it a big deal which ruined it for me.

That is true, but wasn’t the system designed so that he gains his abilities from Nagi? And regardless of how closely related dribbling and ball control are, that wasn’t the case for the actual character, Nagi, who is supposed to be the MC’s template.

One of the best novels in the niche. Aside from occasionally making the people around the MC seem dumb so the MC can look smart, I find no fault with this.

So you are telling me that they can build a bus but can't make a gun? Whether it be mechanical complexity, number of components, safety systems, engineering disciplines needed, or the materials needed for production, building a bus is significantly more difficult than making a gun.

I like the writing, setting and the focus on puppets, but I just can’t read this kind of MC. He’s your typical indomitable-spirit underdog protagonist who pushes through obstacles with sheer will — and did I mention his indomitable spirit? I enjoy reading protagonists with brains, but whenever things aren’t working out and backing off is the rational choice, he goes into a suicidal “indomitable spirit” rush and relies on luck to pull him through. He’s the type to yell things like, “If I didn’t fight for it and lived so cowardly, I’d rather die,” “Break for me!” and “If the heavens block my path, I’ll shatter the heavens.” He’s always the calmest, most intelligent guy wherever he goes; everyone else is an idiot. I don’t mind righteous MCs or evil MCs. But what I can’t stand are hypocritical MCs, which is exactly what the protagonist in this novel is. He is literally the definition of evil, yet he constantly curses and complains about the evil within the demonic sect while slaughtering scores of innocent people himself.
