If he was human I'd agree, but he's not. It's seriously surprising to me that Logos is as human as he is, given the setting they're in (CP2077, AI are *not* human) and the setting inspiring MC's tech (40k, AI tend to go Skynet).

No, not at all. 'Imperial Guard' is a name for the Astra Militarum, the ground forces of Imperium's military. The Custodes are *not* part of that hierarchy at all. Also, the Custodes are far more powerful and deadly than even the 'elites' in the Imperial Guard.
He named it Caladbolg, not Caliburn.
