I wonder why no one comments on this. This chapter broke my heart with the passing away of Dinh's grandpa. To you guys, maybe he's just a supporting character, but to Dinh, he was the only love on Earth, aside from her lost parents whom she had never met even once. His death means Dinh is now alone on this planet. It becomes even more daunting when you consider she lives in a remote area with no neighbors. No one to share her loss, just isolated. Sigh, I was obsessed with its storyline.
I couldn't stop myself from searching for answers to each plot, I think that is the most interesting aspect of this book. On top of that, the crime investigations here aren't too intricate; I could figure them out. Still, the murder plots and actions are truly intriguing. I found myself jumping from the sofa, especially in scenes like Dinh guiding Duy through a chaotic maze under the rain of bullets. Things sounded crazy but convincing in this context. That's what I really appreciate about JU VU. The feeling of not knowing what happens next stays with me throughout the book.
