If you ignore the nationalist, communism and 90% of the trash its actually pretty good. At least for me and compared to korean novels. I think korean underlying culture is just incompatible with my values. I could not stand most of the MCs and most of there stories has this underlying pessimism about talent. For chinese novels, there is a larger breath of concepts and setting compared to korean ones. Plus the world building I think its generally better (ignore the complete trash). At least with chinese novels.. Which is strange as I dont really like the chinese government.
Honestly this is where the story should have started in the first place. no need for the prologue and the stupid character chapters. Its stupid, not only did you force reader to start all over again and again but also gave them homework. Do that when readers are already invested in the story and not at the very start
