Marianne/Elizabeth's reaction with the prince doesn't fit with her usual behavior. I understand that she was nervous about Karina, but I would've thought she would hear him out a little. She could have easily gone to find someone like Jasmine to sus out what happened instead.
I know that this is unedited; I read it at first as the princess is named David. Then I realized it was princess, David.
I have really wanted to lecture the whole lot of them for many chapters now. Aubrey is a hypocrite. She is gullible for believing that people don't have hidden agendas. Dimitri is a fool; he might as well have died rather than live like that going forward. Rhyland should have confiscated her phone instead of having love blinding him.
For the first little while, I was actually interested in the story. Then, it just became that every single frame was intimacy between the couple and other couples. There was no plot development at all, or if there was, it fit in awkwardly in between the intimacy. Their engagement turned into, "I need you several times a day and night every day." The plot of her going to school and him being in the military was almost non existent.
Kara not Adira
I am excited for every new chapter of this book. There is a lot of detail in the story to immerse yourself in the settings and characters. Although I do feel that the main antagonist to the female lead isn't well fleshed out. The female lead and the male lead have such a cute, slow-burning relationship. I sometimes wonder if the male lead isn't almost too eloquent in his thoughts and words.
