Although you're right, as far as I'm aware, none of the Symbiotes in any Marvel movies ever explain that their weakness to sound and fire come from their species' creation, right? From their point of view, I think it would be reasonable to assume that they themselves don't know the exact reason as to why they suffer from the noise or heat. As such, going off the limited information gathered from the Symbiotes before it, El wouldn't be wrong to assume that it was just a weakness of its species. Even when it is trauma, the ability to regulate sound means that it is under the impression that the sound can't hurt it and thus has overcome the trauma in a sense. The best way I can think of it is like having a trauma of the dark, but being given night vision goggles. The cause of the trauma is still there, but since the perception is that it isn't, then the individual doesn't suffer from it. That's kind of what I'm going for anyway, if that makes sense? ❤️
Much appreciated, I'll change that now ❤
Yup, Coulson confiscated Jane's research while they were on the flight to New Mexico.
Nah, it's completely understandable, dw ❤️
Mara is a transmigrator that knows all about the MCU, but is pretending to know nothing. Her handler, May, is an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. character and knows nothing about the future of the MCU ❤
MCU and anything that ties into them. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the Inhumans in that and some of the One-Shots. I'm still undecided on the Inhumans TV show stuff, but I've got a decent chunk of stuff to get through before I have to make a decision on them. I may also include some X-Men/Mutant stuff later as well to see how fun it could be. But, for now, nothing other than MCU and A.o.S.
Changed them for the multi-whips. I tried to think of it like due to the time constraints Vanko would have had, him creating multi-whips and rigging the drones would have taken too long so he had to do 1 or the other. With the ending as well, Vanko wouldn't have time to activate the bombs before he died so unless he also rigged up a dead man's switch, which would have further stretched his time constraints, they felt a bit unnecessary
They did, but they'd have to touch him in order to use the ability. From what I can remember of was shown in the Venom: Let There Be Carnage movie, the technopathy wasn't very advanced either. It could bypass immobilisers in vehicles and start them, but hacking into things wasn't within the scope of its abilities. I might expand on the ability further down the line, but instead of taking however long it would take to hack into the suit, it was easier for the duo just to rip Vanko's head off.
Agreed, will edit it. Thank you kindly for the suggestion ❤
Much appreciated, I'll correct it now ❤
I'll correct that now, cheers ❤
Yeah you're right to be fair. In the MCU they do kill most of their main villains. I was in my comic book mind when I wrote this, so what Mara said doesn't really fit in the context of the movie media for the most part. Loki would be the best example of it in the MCU, but it's more understandable why they don't kill him every time since he is Thor's brother
She panicked and didn't take time to properly think through her answer before opening her mouth to reply
Changed
Mara wanted to do some live combat practice and try out some stuff. There also may be times in the future when she can't go full suit, so always relying on its strength would be a bad habit
Yup!
In theory, Ant-Man should be even stronger when smaller. For argument's sake I'll say that Ant-Man is 1.7m like in the example. If he was to shrink 10x his size, his weight would decrease by 1000x while his strength would increase by 100x. Assuming Ant-Man had the same 411 strength/weight ratio, the ratio would increase to 4110 strength/weight. That is part of the reason why he can jump really high when small and punch harder, he's 10x stronger when small. I'm not exactly sure what the negative effects would be when he's that small though. As in, I think his lungs or blood vessels would explode with how much oxygen they would absorb. But Ant-Man never takes his helmet off when he's small or big, so an argument could be made that the suit regulates his body so that it functions normally? Either that or there's something in the Pimm particle that can magically explain everything away. Official Marvel logic and superpowers are confusing sometimes. Sorry if that's not exactly the clearest explanation, but I hope it helped regardless 😅❤
Thanks for the feedback. From Mara's point of view, she would want to be involved in the plot because she was obsessed with the movies and media. If anyone was suddenly transported into a universe they knew inside and out, most would try to interact with the plot if they had the ability and/or opportunity to do so. She doesn't need S.H.I.E.L.D., she just thinks it would be fun to do secret agent stuff while also making sure that she's aware of any changes to the timeline that her presence caused. This will also be the times when I have her do her own thing. If I just went movie to movie, with nothing original, there would be no point reading the novel as you could just watch the movies. Although she isn't a vigilante, I could have written her to work solo and without the other heroes. But, in my opinion, it would be a waste of the material that the MCU offers. Hope that answers your questions. If it doesn't sound like the novel is for you, I appreciate you giving the novel a shot in the first place. ❤
