C - The connection or L - The Link: it acts as a physical representation of his bonds. The more he gains the more chakra it gives him, and he is able to feel where they are/ how they are doing. He can produce his sealing chains with it that he would normally not be able to use. In voltstanding he can use a large portion of his chakra to use a technique of a dead friend that was connected to him or revive them.

For the moment, that was a relief. If the Domain was simply overlaying a natural-born Domain over the space without any imposed techniques, then at least it wouldn't have guaranteed hit or killing blow effects. It would just be isolating an entire floor as its Domain. - Franklen2mthCommented

If we want to go by technicalities then they were all dead before he got there. They are all failed realities that were pruned for a reason. Even if the reality we live in is not great we are not in a world as cruel or dangerous as the lostbelts.

I think they are cousins. Also it is said that uchiha feel the emotion of love more than others. Therefore instead of saying like, love is a better term for what he feels since he may just see him as a sibling rather than a cousin.
