If the writing manages to lead you into thinking that, then this was a job well done. To clarify, this isn't a jape, I'm glad with your comment. If you've read ahead, you probably get what's happening here. If you don't, just ask me. If you don't want to ask, read this a bit slower.
Gil got the Gojo treatment... I wrote them like that purposely, up to personal interpretation.
Also, I answered your earlier question though i think your original comment got shadowbanned
Gate of Babylon included?
Yeah, where she can launch a single spell to destroy a building. He can launch dozens or possibly hundreds of spells to destroy rooms. She's got monstrous talent and arsenal but reserves that hold her back, he's got insane reserves that make up for the difference in a way. He's not exactly average you see, though you could say that's his only advantage aside from talent in combat and spells though that can't match up with knowing every single mage craft in the world just cause, without any effort.
Manaka knows every single magecraft in the world, is connected to the root and surpasses even magi from the Age of Gods in terms of talent and power with Caster admitting she's stronger than many of the servants in her war, as human. The only department he surpasses her in is sheer magical power (Mana and Od both), able to sustain a wanton Gilgamesh at full power for days by himself, without any outside help whatsoever and even that can be called into question. I based the amount on characters like her and Ciel, if they can be born with such absurd stats, why can't he? Hope that was a satisfactory answer.

Brotha...
Alaric, character pictures for all mentioned are posted in the paragraph comments describing them.
