The writing was good, the some of the characters where (OOC-- out of character) so that was a little jarring to read. Some of the stuff was over-exaggerated like the punishment given to Sakura. Somehow she managed to get a harsher punishment than Sasuke when he was a war criminal??? Sasuke's character was written well, honestly the only fanfic I've read in a while that is the most accurate to how he feels about Sakura and doesn't have the writer project how they feel about her onto him-- which is a complete butchering of his character. Sakura's character was written in a way where she would react off of canon, in reality she would never kill Naruto for Sasuke. She didn't kill Karin for Sasuke so why would she kill Naruto? Her morals haven't really changed from OG to Shippuden so that's not an excuse I want to see. But it's a what if, so I don't really care much in that factor. This basically felt like a bashing fic, Kakashi wanted to kill Sakura, Tsunade wanted Sakura to suffer everyday, there's an imaginary Naruto in her head guilt-tripping her cause he doesn't have anything better to do. Yeah, it's very exaggerated. Especially since Sasuke attempted to kill Naruto too, quite literally stabbing his hand through his chest to do so, and yet there's no character in Naruto literally seething and wanting to torture him forever because of the fact that he tried to do it. TWICE, at that. In this fanfic Tsunade also wanted Sasuke's head for betraying the leaf????? I don't get it, lolllll. Other than that, I guess it's pretty good. IF you can ignore the obvious character butchering that is. But there are ways to make dark fics without rewriting peoples characters and personalities as a whole.

this honestly just felt like a bashing fic for Sakura tbh, how did she manage to get a worse punishment than Sasuke who's a LITERAL war criminal when in the anime he got taken out in just a few months??? make it make sense lolllll

facts, especially when she grew out of her good girl falling for bad boy act and genuinely started to love and care for Sasuke during the chunin exams
