When I read the name of your novel I was hoping it was for some kind of hive like evolution novel with a monster MC. Learning that the MC becomes a human at pretty much the very start was a bit of a disappointment for me personally since I've read too many evolution novels where they "turn" into a human eventually. Reading this comment let me know that I wouldn't be reading what I was expecting based on the novel name, so I was able to simply move on instead of reading and then leaving my own review which would have possibly been on the more negative side. If you want to know all of what I was hoping for in this novel it would have been- 1. A monster MC 2. Some type of hive or hivemind 3. No random nerfs/excuses as to why any powers or skills given get "nerfed" instead of finding a way to keep the novel good while using the given powers/skills to the fullest. (this is often done because the author gives something that has the potential to be much more OP then they expected) 4. Not having the MC make any very illogical or moronic decisions to "conveniently" force them into a situation for plot or character growth (I see this done often from newer authors, I get that it's an easy option but it feels very unnatural to me) I'm not sure if you honestly wanted my opinion or not but 1 and 2 are what I was hoping for from this evolution novel, 3 and 4 are big things I look for in any novel I read.

You should thank this guy honestly, people like myself will read this and pass on your novel instead of reading it and then quite possibly leaving a low rating.

"1. Too many sub-genres: At there exists a virtual reality world similar to the one in Ready Player One that is used by the denizens of the future universe for various daily purposes, there are many worlds the protagonist will visit to achieve his goals, al of which being of different genres." I don't think all the genres are an issue, the issue for me is that they all feel like mini stories within the story and it really takes away from the main world to me, they just feel like a bunch of filler to me.

This novel has a lot of stuff that I could like about it but I feel like it's executed poorly so far. I didn't factor this into my review rating but I'm not a fan of academy stuff and so far there has been a large focus on the MC being part of an academy, the author really should add an academy tag. I also felt the romance was very abrupt and rushed honestly, I could excuse it if it was just lust but out of nowhere they seem to bare their hearts and souls to one another when they've hardly even talked and MC spills all of his secrets. The biggest thing I dislike so far about the novel is how the MC makes all kinds of new "characters" in all these different VR game worlds, while there is a reason for it that I won't spoil it's just not fun to me reading about a bunch of mini stories, I feel like it's taking away from the main story since they take up so many chapters overall, I get that it's an easy way to pad chapters and flex your creativity since making a bunch of mini stories with any start/end you want is probably easier then adding onto the main world but it's just not for me.

I was ok with that until it became apparent he was ok with it and that she even becomes a possible harem member (if she isn't already) Like either it should be something unfortunate that happens to the MC or the teacher should have explained that making him a slave and torturing him with curses would be needed to build his resistances and made sure he was really ok with it. I think there was even a part where he mentions he kinda likes it, seemed like the author wanted to make him a sub / M, no judgement on my part but it wasn't for me, it was a shame to as the story seemed really good before that.

I quit the moment he seemed ok with being enslaved, even worse when I read that she was a possible harem member. If she was straight up with him saying he would be enslaved and tortured with curses to build his resistance to it and he agreed I wouldn't have an issue with it. I also never got past that part, learning that he keeps slavery collar it just makes me thing the author wants him to be a sub/M lol, maybe it's something the author is into? No judgement if so, but this story isn't for me, it looked super good before that to, such a shame.

What timing, I was literally just checking in to see if you had every responded to see if I could find out if you dropped the novel or not before I started reading it, I'll go ahead and give it a read since it seems you may not have dropped it.

I agree, in essence we follow the "MC" for 550 chapters and then he is just randomly replaced.

Sadly he doesn't really get better, he was made stupid by design. It's often used by new or still learning authors since it allows for easy situations to push plot/character development which is also done in this novel often. And this isn't even the bad part of this novel, if you read to about chapter 550 most people will feel like they wasted their time following the story of the "MC" It's such a shame because I very much enjoy your other novel.

The MC isn't just naïve he is made stupid by design, it's something I see commonly from new or still learning authors, it's often done since it makes it much easier to make the MC do something stupid and create drama of some sort to push plot/character development. You see it here often with him doing something stupid that is then used to help push the plot along. My biggest issue is that this essentially has 2 MC's, one you follow for the first 550 chapters and then it gets pretty much randomly thrown away for the second one. I wish I was warned in advanced, I think this novel is pretty bad as is but I at least wouldn't have kept pushing through hoping it gets better if I know the first 550 chapters of following the "MC" was pretty much just following a side character.
