yeah, you would then have to promote to a higher tier to gain more slots to engrave spells. if you reached the cap of spells for your tier. you could only learn spells and cast them by using the Mana of the world instead of your Cube
yeah, I'm thinking of Arbiter as the title. For instance, Sorin might have the title of Arbiter of Time or something like that when he reaches a certain level. Arbiter can mean holding absolute authority over a matter so I think it fits.
yeah, I'm slowly going up to that part. For now Tier 1 and Tier 2 is still in the realm of being able to understand its capabilities. The higher tiers is where I'm gonna touch on more complex stuff. I've already revealed that in Tier 7, the power is on the level of summoning small scale black holes. And Tier 9, you would probably become a God.
I don't have the answers you're looking for. I didn't put romance tag because it's not going to be the focus of this story. There might be romance, but I'm not going to force it. MC is a bit of a sociopath. It would be very hard to make a decent romance that would actually make sense and aligns with MC's character. Though, there would definitely be woman that are completely obsessed with him.
Not too much. The average person that witnesses death etc would be shaken up.Sorin had been selected as a participant for the field training which show he has some skill as an arcanist. paired with his above average affinity, he can show some combat prowess.
Uh, I removed it. People didn't like Sorin kneeling so I'm just thinking of some changes and also future plots.
no? extortion generally happends amongst second and third years. With dark arcanists attacking, the Academy had started to become very lawless. Sorin had already proven his capabilities to everyone in the first year. He had displayed high combat prowess, being selected for the field training amongst hundreds of other individuals. Sorin had promoted to a Tier 1 Arcanist extremely quickly compared to others. Only wealthy people or people with high affinities and a sizeable amount of wealth could match his pace. No first year would even think of extorting him. The girl that asked Sorin to kneel had to extort Sorin in such a roundabout way like 'gift your senior arcane crystals, and we can give guidance' like what guidance would she even give? I did say second years and third years couldn't extort people at a lower year, but there are so many loopholes to this. Picture this, so what if he retaliated, showed some pride? What then? He would just be constantly annoyed by individuals. Though no first year would target him without reason. Upperclassmen can coerce these guys in numerous ways... thoroughout these last 30 chapters, I have clearly tried to display Sorin as a cunning person lacking empathy for others and showing very minimal emotions. He could care less about pride. What does it give him? Benefits and rewards? Definitely not.
Sorin's character aligns more with Fang Yuan. He has pride, if an ant provoked him, he would kill them without any hesitation. He obviously wouldn't kneel if it was pointless. Sorin has his own philosophy when making enemies. If he has one, he completely removes them in one move. Sorin can't kill any students in the Academy, so he can't exactly remove them in one move. So what if he wins and beats them now, just like a typical villain, they would come back later with all their friends and family members just to kill Sorin.
Sorin's willingness to kneel serves his pragmatic nature and allows him to cultivate fertile ground for his schemes. It enables him to avoid making unnecessary enemies among the second-year and third year students, many of whom come from noble bloodlines with powerful backing. While Sorin could opt for a more typical protagonist approach with snarky comebacks and beat all of them up... It would be unrealistic in a world where these formidable families have Tier 2 and 3 Arcanists supporting them. Sorin's temporary act of begging, while disappointing, was necessary for plot progression and highlighting the realistic and complex nature of the novel's world. Rest assured, Sorin's pride remains intact, he just simply discards it when needed. Please note that even Sorin hasn't truly adapted to the world, he knows the cruelty of this world, however even he can underestimate how greedy everyone is for power. And for people the want to know, no. Sorin won't be kneeling again, it was to simply show his nature as someone that hates inconveniences. Now, however, with everyone finding Sorin to be a pathetic person, it makes some of his schemes easier to do. Sorry if you wanted a domineering mc that will wipe out their family just from provocation.
