Right? I was in for a smart ass girl to swoon the king and she turns out as obnoxious, dumb and self righteous as her little sister. Another disappointing read. Authors signed by this platform are terrible at writing. I’m calling it quits

Well, sorry to be the downer here, but this is what you get on this platform. The editors reject books with intricate plots that require thinking. If authors want a contract here, they need to spew out mindless, simple-to-follow, adrenaline rush kind of garbage.
I swear the writing behind Sylus feels like a different team of talents. "When you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes back at you" is a quote from Nietzsche's Beyond Good and Evil. Everything else in the game is just, meh.

Esme's father married Lunar after her mother died, and her half-brothers are all older than her?
For two people fated to be together they really shouldn’t be so out of sync. Yes they can be different but they also need to be able to see each other’s points, curse or not. This whole layering of misunderstanding is getting too out of hand and killing the romance as we progress
Girl you can be in an intimate relationship and still keep things from your partner not bc you don’t trust him but there are just your private matters. That said I agree, if only half of the introspection were conversation this story should have finished by now
He meant emotional support you get when you’re treated physically. His blessing is his curse now that he can’t be wounded he’ll never get the emotional support
