OMG! What even happened! I was reading with watery eyes! This story took a completely new direction and its sweet! Since this is through Rowan's POV, Ik we won't get to see the other stuff happening so I hope another book comes out where its a bigger picture type thing. I can't wait for Rowan vs Roman!

When they left I went straight to bed. The dream haunted me for some reason. It was dark and I couldn't see anything. I knew I was standing on something. I stood still and tried to listen. I heard something. It was distant but getting closer. I could hear whispers. A voice and another. I recognized the voice. It was my mother. She was begging for help, crying, screaming. Another voice, one I didn't know. It was a deep voice, threatening and angry. I couldn't see anything, but I tried to run. My legs wouldn't move. I tried to yell, but there was only silence. Then a bright light flashed before my eyes, and I saw a silhouette of a man. I couldn't make out any features. Looking at him made my blood boil. Yeah same.
The sun was setting as we were walking over. We noticed a young woman talking to a first captain on our way. We weren't close enough to hear their conversation, but she had a first lieutenant badge. I looked at Kyle and he just shrugged. I thought it was strange since women aren't usually allowed to be soldiers. The food wasn't as good as the noodle shop or my mom's cooking, but, in its own way, it was good. We found a seat and coincidentally it was next to Captain Frank Gnoins. - Zane_Talor7mthCommented

The second he unsheathed his sword, he dashed and swiftly cut off Gideon's head. His movements were so fast and smooth. Gideon didn't even react to Marcus' speed. I loved the story. The prologue set up the plot very nicely and it followed a very straight forward path that was easy to understand. I loved the arcs and the different characters. Some of the death scenes were really sad and other parts of the story kept me on the edge of my seat. I could not stop reading once I started. The last few arcs were great, I did not expect the story to go where it went. But I loved the ending.
