This is great. First three chapters are well paced and thrilling. The writing is good, even though I don't usually read present tense. The character is almost instantly relatable and likeable. In one word, Brilliant. Will be waiting for more!I

The goblin hall is one of the oldest examples of a medieval vaulted hall in Scotland. It sits, almost forgotten, amongst the trees near Gifford. There really is a staircase going down into the hill and it's blocked by fallen bricks and rubble. Very spooky place
