Systems are hard to do correctly. Many an author finds it their greatest stumbling block, but still tread forth upon the difficult writer's road due to the tremendous excellence when they succeed. This story is one that succeeds. If you want to read a good system story, by all means, this one should be the one. Truly, one cannot get higher. This story is a hidden gem, waiting to be discovered. I shall be proud to say that I knew it before it was. Amazing job, Mr. Nexus. I look forward to more of your great work.
Great story. Actually great, and I mean it. So many people nowadays are published who couldn't tell a Shakespeare book from a Spongebob. But you, Mr. Void, are most certainly not in that category. I am blessed that this book is available for free, as not many books of its calibre are. Keep up the amazing work, you will do great things in the future, I am sure of it. Definitely a name to keep an eye on.
I have been so busy recently, I have been getting the Peter Griffin skin in Fortnite. Adding to that some...difficulties with the writing, especially concerning the character Oscar, and my concern with the new UAP crisis. However, I am absolutely overjoyed to hear that you have enjoyed what I have put out so far. I have a few more chapters written of this book, and I will release them just for you. I hope you enjoy them.
He is such a goofball. Love this guy.
I have been wondering, will Lucifer/Lucian and Bane's father ever appear again? It would be very interesting to see what his reaction would be to see the sons he abandoned once more.
I am greatly enjoying how Lucifer/Lucian is changing as a character to become someone truly serious and terrifying.
That prophecy was certainly startling.
That is certainly a high IQ.
I feel as though Cedric's mysterious encounter may lead him down the path of becoming a villain. We shall see what the future holds for these two boys.
Argus and Jonas seem like very interesting characters so far. I would love to see some comedy filler chapters to expand on their personalities.
I love the way this story is written, and the first few chapters were phenomenal. I have been a bit confused in the latest ones, though, since I'm not quite sure how Lucious (Lucifer) got to where he is now and what happened to Bane. Looking forward to seeing what happens.
Was it not Bane in the laboratory? Is Lucious there as well?
This is a very difficult situation, it shall be interesting to see how it effects Bane later on.
I think it would be very beneficial to show a scene of Selina being greedy, as the reader has only ever seen her being a devoted mother. That way this part would have even more impact.
Lucius is very mature for his age. I can see that this is a result of his father's behaviour forcing him to grow up too fast. Very realistic, but very sad.
Very dark and compelling beginning. I can see how this will develop into a true tragedy.
This is the story of the fates of two young childhood friends, and how their lives intersect and change. As of now there are only eight chapters, but it is quickly growing into something great. The characters are exceedingly well-written and have realistic interactions. The author expertly plays around with the idea of the "chosen one". The intelligent and kind Alistair is seemingly chosen by the world as he is already befriending the king and high-ranking nobles. The emotional and playful Cedric, on the other hand, is only a poor orphan but is hinted towards being fated for great things as he is visited by a powerful shadowy figure. One thing that especially stands out about this story is the fact that it is not afraid to explore deep and complicated topics that others might shy away from. It delves deep into class conflicts, contrasting the lives of the rich and privileged Alistair with the poor orphan Cedric. The concept of war and peace is a running theme of the novel, bringing to mind the classic novel by Leo Tolstoy. I am also excited to see how later chapters will continue to break down the racism present in this world, shown by the prejudice humans feel towards human-animal hybrids. Great work so far, and I can't wait to see how this story grows.
